The mixture of frozen fruit in this smoothie reminds me of the colors you might catch in a sunrise: pinky-red (strawberries) moving to blushing orange (peach) into rich orange-yellow (mango) followed by the bright yellow-white of the sun (pineapple and banana) as it breaks the horizon.
I call this a “breakfast smoothie” because, while smoothies can be consumed any time of day, this one includes something particularly breakfasty: rolled oats. As such, it makes for a nice, filling smoothie. Rounded out with a couple scoops of LiveComplete protein powder, this blend is sure to fuel and satisfy.
Feel free to go beyond the sunrise and add in blues, purples, or deeper reds with other berries. This is just a jumping-off point.
